"The album has a unique quality of sounding like the instrumentation was laid down in a cozy but resonant space, while Homes’ flawless soprano wafts above it all as if from the floor of a vast Colorado canyon." -5280 Magazine
"Katherine Homes could have released the eight songs on Speak with just her and a guitar. She doesn’t need bells and whistles to make the tracks any prettier. But with the accompaniment of a handful of well-known Colorado musicians, producer Jamie Mefford (Nathaniel Rateliff/Gregory Alan Isakov) makes the tracks on Speak come to life with tasteful, elegant arrangements that highlight the simple beauty, without over powering them — particularly on the poignant “Put Down Your Gun.” - The Marquee
