Joe's Ridge
Joe’s Ridge is a singletrack mountain biking mecca located in Fruita, CO. Its mountainous ridges, steep descents, and amazing views make for a thrilling ride that draws thousands of visitors each year. The Fruita Valley is also a hotspot for dinosaur fossils and bones as the entire valley was actually once all underwater. Both common and rare birds can be spotted at Joe’s Ridge, including Ash-throated and gray flycatchers, bald eagles, blue herons, pinyon jays, and peregrine falcons. Wildlands around the world are at risk of overpopulation and development, climate change, and agriculture, and we need to make sure that we protect these sacred places.
