Children's Book | Sasha and Mishoo: Little Yoga Warriors
In 2007 Katherine Homes and writer Jeffrey Mix, created and published a book together. Their goal was to make an interactive children's yoga book available to the public while also creating it in a sustainable way.
The book was printed using wind power, on 100% recycled paper and using soy-based inks. It was the first of it's kind! It's a great book for children 3+.
Now, 14 years later, they have decided again, to release it to the public.
Set amidst the many colorful and diverse landscapes of India, Sasha and her brother, Mishoo, are searching for their little kitty, Chakra, who had followed a passing yogi into the wild.
The two children are confronted by either nature's obstacles or animals along the way. The only way they can continue on is by holding a certain yoga pose, one that will help them overcome the obstacle. Sasha, Mishoo, and the reader will have to stop and hold the pose for ten big breaths before they can turn the page.
With vibrant, hand-drawn illustrations created in traditional Indian style, the story is a treat for the eyes as well as the body.
