The blank canvas, be that wood, or canvas, a journal, the start of a day, or a new year, can be the most daunting thing to stare at in the world. It's completely up to you to fill it with whatever you want. It can be paralyzing. So sometimes the only thing you can do is force your hand to make sure the pen has contact. That the paint stains the surface. That the word hits the page. That you speak into the day to know it's real. That you say what you want so that somehow it will manifest.
