Oh Mount Rainier! This gorgeous mountain reaches above 14,410 feet above see level an is considered to be the most glaciated peak in the lower 48 states. It is home to 3 different plant and wildlife zones. Rainier is an active volcano that last erupted about 1,000 years ago. It has 25 named glaciers and are vital to providing water to many rivers.

Wildlands are threatened by climate change, melting ice, disturbing snowpack and water-basins, and changing fragile ecosystems.

I wanted to replace a hat that I'd lost with a similar design. My old one had a gray mesh back and a teal brim but REI no longer carried it. This one had similar colors and the same design, but trying it on, the teal insert makes the hat fit oddly. If I didn't love the design so much, I would have returned it

Hi Natasha! This hat is a 7 panel hat. The one you previously got from REI was a typical foam trucker. They are very different in style. :) The 7 panel isn't for everyone - it's a bit bulker, doesn't have foam, and wider. :) It's still a great hat! Just a personal preference.

We are an orca loving family and my favorite colors are teal and blue, so it felt like the hat was made for me! Fits well and kept the sun off my face during multiple trail races recently
