Recreation pressure is surging, development is fragmenting habitat, and wildfire and flooding are hitting harder and more often, leaving trails eroded, watersheds damaged, and ecosystems struggling to recover on their own. Without intervention, these threats compound: a burned hillside becomes a flood risk; a degraded trail becomes a wound that spreads.
WRV mobilizes volunteers to get ahead of that damage - restoring the land before it's lost, while building community, forging real connection to nature, and giving people the chance to learn and grow through the work itself. Every project matters: thousands of volunteers have already contributed millions of dollars' worth of time across more than 2,000 restoration efforts, but Colorado's most threatened places need that momentum now more than ever.
