Prairie lands were once one of the most ecologically diverse landscapes on Earth and now are one of the most endangered. Known as upside-down forests - roots extending many feet below ground - make prairie lands draught resistant and more adaptable to climate change.

The near threatened Bison play a critical part in healthy prairie lands. As bison forage, they aerate the soil with their hooves, provide nesting grounds for birds, and disperse native seeds.
