Mount Sneffels
From hyper-arid deserts and tropical forests to arid polar ice caps - mountains are found on all continents, latitude zones, and within the world’s principal biome types and are incredibly important for biological diversity.
Mount Sneffels is the highest summit (14,158 feet) of the Sneffels Range in the Rocky Mountains just outside of Ouray, CO, located in the Mount Sneffels Wilderness of Uncompahgre National Forest.
Climate change is triggering disasters including wildfires, avalanches, mud, and rockslides that are tumbling downstream, stripping forests bare, and flooding communities. It’s vital that we do all we can to protect our public lands and wildlife for future generations to come.
