Pasque Flowers
This elegant upward bell shaped pale purple and white flower, has soft and silky foliage and is one of the first flowers to merge out of winter.
It loves rocky, hillside sunny areas, scattered through a forest floor or on a clearing.
Bees love the Pasque flower as it provides critically needed early season nectar. There are roughly 150 species world wide with 25 occurring in the United States.
As with all wild plants, humans should enjoy them not pick them.
